Luke Vilain is a Director at PwC UK and an AI governance specialist with more than 20 years of experience in financial services. He helps organisations turn governance from a barrier to AI adoption into a practical way to scale AI safely. Before joining PwC, he built and led the AI governance team at UBS and the Responsible AI team at Lloyds Banking Group. In those roles, he redesigned governance for AI use cases and systems, reduced low-risk approval times from six months to two days, and helped banks prepare for new regulation.
