Rizel Scarlett is the Tech Lead of Open Source Developer Relations at Block, where she drives technical storytelling for goose, an open source AI agent. Known for blending technical depth with creativity, Rizel builds experiences that make AI approachable, joyful, and real. Her journey in AI DevRel began at GitHub, where she was an early advocate for GitHub Copilot, building on four years at G{Code} House where she drove early growth and programming for a coding and career program supporting women and non-binary people of color. Rizel approaches developer relations with the empathy of both a seasoned advocate and a new mom, bringing experimentation and a deep belief in making tech more human and more fun.
