Zen Van Loan serves as the AI Implementation Liaison for the Workforce Development Division at the Texas Workforce Commission, where she has been instrumental in driving strategic initiatives in AI. In her role, Zen leads efforts to optimize program outcomes through the responsible integration of various AI technologies across the division. She has over 10 years of experience optimizing and streamlining processes in the public and private sectors. In addition, Zen holds the position of Vice President of Social Impact on the Board of Directors of the Austin AI Alliance where she emphasizes the application and ethical use of AI to foster innovation and collaboration within the Austin area. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Texas State University, focusing on workforce development and leveraging technology to enhance educational outcomes.
