Vinay Patel is the Chief Trust & Security Officer at Zendesk, where he leads the charge in safeguarding Zendesk and oversees the fulfillment of Zendesk’s commitments to its customers and stakeholders on security and compliance. He firmly believes that Trust is central to our relationships with customers and that it is earned through transparent and consistent execution of information security controls. With a career spanning over 20 years, Vinay has been instrumental in assisting enterprises develop intelligence-led security programs and transitioning from defensive to offensive cybersecurity strategies. Prior to joining Zendesk, Vinay held esteemed positions as the CISO at Finastra and Citigroup. His education includes an MBA from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.
