Dr. Huang Xiao is a principal AI researcher in the Cybersecurity Science and Analytics department at HSBC Plc. He holds a doctorate in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich and was a visiting scholar at Stanford University in 2016. His main interests include adversarial machine learning, reinforcement learning, anomaly detection, explainable AI, and machine learning engineering. Dr. Xiao has published several top-tier conference and journal papers, with more than 1300 citations in both machine learning and cybersecurity domains. Previously, Dr. Xiao worked as a research scientist at the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence in Germany, where he focused on machine learning research for environmental understanding and decision-making in autonomous driving. Before that, he founded an AI research group for Cybersecurity at Fraunhofer AISEC Institute in Munich, where he worked closely with leading industry partners and contributed to both national and European research projects.
