Dr. Danijela Horak, is currently the Head of AI Research at the BBC. After earning her PhD in pure mathematics from the Max Planck Institute and completing research fellowships at Warwick University and Imperial College London, she worked as head of AI for the Commercial Real Estate Desk at Asset Management firm AIG. At the BBC, Danijela leads the development of innovative AI products powered by Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision (CV), and Speech-to-Text (STT) technologies, while overseeing a substantial research portfolio. Her keen interest in safety emphasises her commitment to secure and responsible AI innovation.
