Arun
Shankar
Director, Software Engineering, Web & OTT Experiences
Tubi
Arun Shankar leads the 30-plus-engineer Web and OTT App Experiences group at Tubi, steering the end-to-end client experience across web, mobile, and more than 20 connected-TV platforms that serve 97 million global viewers. He architected the multi-CDN strategy that streamed Super Bowl LIX to a record 15.5 million concurrent users without a hitch, modernised Tubi’s OTT stack from server-side rendering to a fully static, Kubernetes-powered delivery model, and instituted GitHub Actions + ArgoCD pipelines for rapid, zero-downtime releases. Arun’s teams own critical surfaces—including linear-channel UI, home-screen personalisation, semantic search, and title-details pages—and drive international roll-outs while preserving pixel-perfect consistency. A champion of data-driven iteration, he oversees 50+ user-facing experiments a year to continually raise engagement and streaming quality. Earlier in his career, Arun scaled ML infrastructure at Layer and co-founded interactive-video startup Fuisz. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.

Panel discussion: The future of engineering leadership in the age of AI
AI is no longer an experiment—it’s the new backdrop for every product roadmap, hiring plan, and board conversation. In this 30-minute lightning panel hosted by Revelo, four hands-on technology leaders - Shibani Sanan (CTO, Ladder), Prabhu Inbarajan (Chief Product & Technology Officer, Colibri), Arun Shankar (Director of Engineering, Tubi), and Navneet Rao (Director of Engineering, Thumbtack) - will trade unfiltered stories on: ● what excites (and worries) them most about AI in 2025; ● how AI is reshaping delivery velocity, culture, and distributed teamwork; ● where humans still trump algorithms in the hiring funnel; and ● the new questions boards are asking about security, compliance, and product bets. Attendees will leave with metric-backed tactics they can pilot in the next quarter.
