Bala Viswanath is Chief Technology Officer for Experian's Identity and Fraud Prevention Business Unit, where he's leading the technology transformation of the business, building AI-native and AI-enabled products and running a global engineering organization of 250+ across the UK, Bulgaria, and India. Before Experian, he spent time at Lloyds Banking Group as Engineering Lead for the Economic Crime Prevention Platform and held several data and API leadership roles at NatWest Group, with earlier stints at Cognizant and Envestnet/Yodlee. Bala holds an MBA from Imperial College London, has completed AI leadership training through the Indian School of Business and INSEAD-style executive programs, and is a vocal LinkedIn commentator on responsible AI, engineering leadership, and applying gen AI to fraud and financial crime prevention.
