Irati is currently leading a team of Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers, and Data Analysts, implementing Gen AI & Machine learning solutions in the context of fighting financial crime at Sumup. She has over 10 years of experience in various Data Science and Machine Learning engineering roles, having worked on a wide range of projects from different disciplines. Before that, she also completed a PhD in Computational Neuroscience at Birkbeck, University of London, a masters in Cognitive Science, and worked as a Software Engineer for several years.
